Today has seen the second day of rehearsals in the Malmö Arena, with the remaining acts from Semi Final 1 took to the stage for the first time in the arena . As has been the case with previous years, the first and second set of rehearsals are closed to the press .However, you can see snippets of the rehearsals and artists on TikTok during the week of the first rehearsals and in the second week you can see snippets of the rehearsals on the official Eurovision You Tube channel .Today saw Iceland opening proceedings , followed by Slovenia , Finland ,Moldova , Azerbaijan , Australia,Portugal and closing the day’s rehearsals , Luxembourg .

Here are some clips taken from Tik Tok today with my initial reactions after watching the actual footage myself on TIK Tok , however please do bear in mind that the clips are not of the full performances and we await the second set of the rehearsals where we may get more of an idea of how the performances will look in full .

Iceland

This is really the kind of staging I expected to see from Hera . Very similar staging to the Icelandic National final with Hera taking prime place on the stage and her backing singers seemingly hidden behind diamond shape props at the back of the stage. Hera is an experienced Eurovision performer so I wouldn’t completely write off her chances of qualifying but will wait to see the full performance before deciding.You can see the Tik Tok clip HERE

Slovenia

Skin -tight suits are all the rage by the looks of Raiven’s staging which is mainly a blue backdrop with white depicting clouds and Raiven joined on stage by backing contemporary dancers who she interacts on stage with.Again need to see the full performance before giving views on Raiven’s chances. Finland

Windows95 Man seem to be replicating the National final performance ( including the giant egg that they emerge from ) and although we haven’t yet seen the full performance it still all looks very chaotic and messy .One particular outfit may create a talking point , but for the wrong reasons . This is going to be one of those you either love it or you hate it type of acts but one thing’s for sure ,it’s not quite the standard of Kaarija last year ! Moldova

Wow! even though we have only seen a snippet of the performance ,this seems to be a far cry from the rather regimental staging and outfits in the Moldovan national final . Natalia is wearing a rather revealing white dress , with a more sultry appearance .LED effects appear to be being used to maximum in the backdrop . I can’t wait to see the full performance . Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan usually don’t disappoint with their staging and this year , having failed to qualify for the final last year, they look like they mean business again ! This is another one that will be interesting to see the full performance of .You can see the snippet on Tik Tok HERE

Australia

Australia have sent something very different this year and it looks like their staging this year is going to reflect much of the culture from the country . We await to see the full performance .You can see the Tik Tok clip HERE

Portugal

Iolanda seems to have brought the staging from the National Final with her . She heads the stage while her backing singers, all in white with heads covered by what looks like net stocking ends , move around the stage and interact with Iolanda . You can see the Tik Tok clip HERE

Luxembourg

We’ve been waiting all these years for Luxembourg to come back to the contest and looking at the snippet of Tali’s first rehearsal , it looks like they are not going to disappoint ! This will be one to watch when we get the full performances.Tali is today in an all in one black suit , though I am not sure that’s going to be her outfit for the big night. As in the National Final, she’s joined by her backing dancers on stage and it looks like they are another act that will be making full use of LED backdrops .You can see the Tik Tok snippet HERE
