🇪🇸 #JESC24: Barcelona Favourite To Be Awarded Host City Status

El Plural, a Spanish media outlet, is reporting that Barcelona is favourite for hosting the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, ahead of Granada, Malaga and Valencia.

The venue that is been heavily rumoured is the Palau Sant Jordi – home of the Barcelona Eurovision Party. The Palau Sant Jordi is home to the latest technology and would offer the best show. RTVE & RTVE Catalunya, the Spanish national & regional broadcaster and the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, have yet to confirm which city will be hosting the Contest. The news maybe revealed during the Junior Eurovision Song Contest press conference in Malmo.

El Plural have also revealed that RTVE are in discussions with María Isabel about performing a new version of “Antes Muerta Que Sencilla”, on the twentieth anniversary of her win at the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Lillehammer.
