ČT, the Czech national broadcaster, have confirmed that they will not be participating at the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Nice.

While Czechia have yet to participate in the Contest, they have also not broadcast any edition of the Contest. Ahmad Halloun, Head of Press for the Czech delegation, had the following to say:

“Czechia won’t be competing at Junior Eurovision in Nice later in the year.

We are putting all the effort into hopefully compete in Sweden next year. In 2016 Sweden gave us our best result at the time and we hope to do it again!”
