The northern Swedish city of Örnsköldsvik has expressed interest in hosting the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.

Örnsköldsvik expressed an interest in hosting the Contest in 2016, last time Sweden was the host country. Back in 2016, Anna-Britta Åkerlind, Chairman of the Municipal board, had the following to say:

“It is SVT that owns this arrangement and can take the initiative. But if SVT wants to talk, we are here.”
