🇩🇰 #JESC22: Remembering Junior Eurovision 2003

Over the course of October and November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the previous editions of the Contest. Today, we celebrate Copenhagen 2003.

On Saturday 15th November 2003, inaugural Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place at the Forum Copenhagen, Denmark. The show was hosted by Camilla Ottesen and Remee. The Interval Act was provided by Busted and the Sugababes.

Sixteen countries debuted in the inaugural edition of the Contest. They were Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Latvia, Malta, North Macedonia (then known as FYR Macedonia), Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

1st Place: Croatia – Dino Jelusić, “Ti si moja prva ljubav”
