#UK: Sam Ryder Extends Record Second Placings – Part 4/4

During the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, Sam Ryder secured the United Kingdom a record sixteenth second placing. The last time the United Kingdom reached this position was in 1998, one year after their last victory. Today we conclude our look back at the second placings.


Micheal Ball took part in the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest, in Malmo, Sweden. He scored 139 points with “One Step Out of Time”.

Sonia took part in the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest, in Millstreet, Ireland. She scored 164 points with “Better the Devil You Know”.

Imaani took part in the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest, in Birmingham, the United Kingdom. She scored 166 points with “Where Are You?”.
