
Following on from the EBU PRESS CONFERENCE in Paris, during the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Martin Österdahl raised hopes of the fan community that we could see the United Kingdom return in 2022 – with the BBC at the helm, rather that ITV. However, we maybe waiting another year.
The BBC is planning to return the United Kingdom next year, when the Contest celebrates its 20th anniversary. With this planned return, it would mean 2022 would be the last year Scotland and Wales would be allowed to participate independently.
