
TVR – The Romanian National Broadcaster, revealed a few days ago more details about Eurovision Romania 2022.
A total of five jurors will evaluate the entries received for the national selection. These jurors are:
*Alexandra Ungureanu – singer, 3rd place at NF 2003
*Ozana Barabancea – actress and jazz singer
*Randi – singer and producer, juror NF 2016
*Cristian Faur – composer of “Let Me Try” (Romania 2005)
*Adrian Romcescu – composer of “Eu cred” (Romania 1998)
This jury will evaluate all of the entries received during the submission period, which will close on December 19. On December 20 and 21, the jury will select 45 songs to proceed to the next stage of the selection. The semi-finalists will be revealed no later than December 23.
All 45 songs will then compete in a two-part semi-final. From February 5 to 10 a jury and the public will be able to vote online for their favourite acts. The jury will select 15 songs while the public will select 5 songs via online voting on Facebook.
On February 12 a televised semi-final is then held, with the first live performances from the twenty shortlisted songs. The jury will select 10 songs for the final.
On March 5, the final of Eurovision Romania 2022 will be held and we will know the lucky winner representing Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. The winner act will be determined by a combination of public vote and jury voting.
