
Two former participating nations have confirmed they will not be returning to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year – they are Moldova and Montenegro.
Moldova’s TRM have confirmed to Eurovoix that they will not be returning to the Contest after withdrawing back in 2014. No reason has been given. Moldova’s best result came in 2011, when Lerika finished in 6th place, with “No, No”.
Eurovoix also had confirmation from Montenegro’s RTCG will also not be returning to the Contest after withdrawing back in 2016. RTCG confirmed the reason was down too funding. Montenegro’s best result came in 2015, when Jana Mirkovic finished in 13th place, with “Oluja”.
