MONTENEGRO: Finalists of Montevizija announced
The broadcaster for Montenegro – RTCG has revealed the five lucky hopefuls vying for the Montenegrin ticket for Tel Aviv. As last year, the winner will be chosen through Montevizija. A total of 27 songs were submitted, with a special jury narrowing down the field.
But what are the five acts?
Nina Petković – Uzmi ili ostavi
Monika Knezović – Nepogrješiva
D-Moll – Ti
Ivana Popović-Martinović – Nevinost
Andrea Demirović – Ja sam ti san
The two names that stand out here are Nina and Andrea. Nina took part in Montevizija 2018, finishing fifth. Andrea has actually represented her country in Moscow in 2009. That was as a result of an internal selection. Here’s her song from 2009 – Just get out of my life.
Montevizija will consist of a two-stage process. The five songs will compete in the first stage, with three progressing to a super final.
As we all know, Vanja Radovanović sang for Montenegro in Lisbon with the song Inje. He finished 16th in his semi-final, so RTCG has a point to prove.
Are you fan of Montenegro’s entries over the years? Should they have made the final in Lisbon? What will it take to qualify? Tell us what you think.
