Before we announce our winners, we’ll also reveal our runners up, both 2nd and 3rd place. While our 1st place couple will be paired together, feel free to pair up these individuals any way that you wish ;-)
Our runners up were:-
in 3rd place, Elena Gheorghe (Romania 2009) and Václav Noid Bárta (Czech Republic 2015)
and in 2nd place, Polina Gagarina (Russia 2015) and Vlad Miriță (Romania 2008)
Congratulations! Now, without making this article any more like Sanremo, we’ll announce our winners. It was a close battle and the winning couple changed repeatedly over the week, but these two pulled ahead and kept their lead over the last few days. So without further ado, Eurovision Ireland’s Valentine’s Day Couple 2017, as voted for by you, is…
*drumroll*
Sergey Lazarev and Poli Genova!
Yes, your votes have named Poli and Sergey, both stars and high scorers of Eurovision 2016 as Eurovision Ireland’s Valentine’s Day Couple 2017! And we must say, we think they make a very cute couple together!
Thanks again to everyone who took part in these polls – we had almost 1,000 votes! Is Sergey Lazarev the only one for you? Would you do the time with Poli Genova if your love was a crime?

It should be 我愛你 in Chinese character in the image
just saying….
Thank you for the heads up! You’re lucky you can speak Chinese, it’s a language we’d love to be able to understand here at Eurovision Ireland!
