Most of the Balkan states have been suspiciously quiet these last few months regarding Eurovision, but at last we have some news from Serbia!
Radio-Televizija Srbije, the Serbian national broadcaster confirmed earlier today that their entry for Eurovision 2017, both singer and song, will be decided internally by the music editorial team at RTS. This is the same selection method that sent Sanja Vučić ZAA and the dramatic “Goodbye (Shelter)” to Stockholm last year.
At the moment, all that RTS have said is that their entry will be revealed during a special presentation show in March. The date will be announced closer to the time.
Serbia have proved they definitely have what it takes to conquer the Eurovision scoreboard, being the only country other than Switzerland in Eurovision history to debut and win in the same year. Ukraine was the first East European country to win Eurovision twice – but can Serbia become the 2nd to do so?!
What do you think of RTS’ decision? Who would you like to see sing for Serbia?
Let us know what you think!
