While both members of the United Kingdom’s Eurovision 2015 duo have stated that Electro Velvet is no more, Alex Larke is still singing and is back with his new single “Shine On” – and it’s very different from his distinctly 1920s Eurovision swing!
Alex, who was born on May 25th 1979 in Welwyn Garden City, is proving he’s an up-to-date British singer with this more indie and alternative sounding track, showing off his style musical style in the best way possible. It’s catchy and definitely worth a listen as it has the same vibes as legendary Oasis or The Verve tracks. Just check it out for yourself!
“Shine On”is expected to go on sale on February 3rd 2017 and will be available to download on Amazon.
It also goes to show that “never judge a book by its cover” applies to singers and their Eurovision entries too! For me, I would definitely rate “Shine On“ a promising 10 out of 12 score! We look forward to hearing more from Alex in the future!

That Alex Larke is a veritable ‘Dark Horse’! The chorus is very Catchy, the sort that if you hear it in the morning, you will be humming it in the back of your mind the whole day.
We agree Joxer Daly, a real ear worm and a great beat!
