Another country has selected its representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest next month in Bulgaria. Lina Kuduzović will carry the Slovene flag looking for their first win.
Lina will sing Prva ljubezen (first love), after winning RTV Slovenija’s Mini EMA – a feature in the TV show Vikend Paket. She won over a two-stage process, first winning a three-song semi-final and then winning the head-to-head on 4 October.
Lina co-wrote her song with Slovene band Maraaya, who you may remember from a certain contest in Vienna in May. It is in the rules that the participants can get help in writing their songs, and Maraaya also helped to write Slovenia’s début entry in JESC last year in Malta.
Lina will be one of 17 participants in JESC on 21 November in the Arena Armeec in Sofia. We at Eurovision Ireland wish her – and the other participants – well. And here’s her song.
