Ann Sophie then reprised her second place song ‘Black Smoke’ at the end of the show. However the Press in Germany are gathered waiting for an official announcement from NDR.

  1. Well i think the winning act Andreas is totally out of order by making this decision at this late stage. He must have had some doubts about taking part from the start.I’m wondering if he just made a spur of the moment decision to make this statement,knowing perhaps that he felt he did not have a chance of winning the contest,and that the only way he was going to get anything out of it for himself was to act in a controversial manner by saying no to taking part.Then he could then make some kind of name for himself out of his rejection of the contest.How weird.

  2. I have no idea why he even participated in that show if he doesn’t want to go to Vienna.
    It just doesn’t make any sense to me.
    It is unfair towards the other contestents, who may have had the chance to reach the final in that national selection. For example Alexa.
    But i´m happy for Ann Sophie that she is representing Germany.
