GERMANY UPDATE : LIVE in the Press Centre and NDR officially confirm the Winner of Eurovision Selection
Thanks to our colleagues and friend at ESC Insight – Mr Thomas Schreiber of NDR has taken to the stage to talk of the events tonight at the German National Selection for Eurovision 2015.
After Andreas Kümmert was declared the winner he then declined the offer LIVE on stage. The unfamiliar territory then say Ann Sophie being asked if she would take his place in Vienna. Confusion was awash in the stadium.
Now in the press conference room Mr Thomas Schreiber of NDR has taken to the stage and has confirmed that Ann Sophie will represent Germany at Eurovision 2015 in Vienna with her song ‘Black Smoke’.
Thus ends a night of excitement in Germany and for the second year in a row the Wild Card entrant has won the German Nation Final for Eurovision.

What alternative would there have been? Repeat the whole show without Andreas? His song had been my favourite too and couldn’t believe when he backed away. The presenter had said he had performed in spite of not feeling well and high temperature, so why don’t you have more confidence, Andreas? You would have rocked Vienna!
