The time has come for Ruth Lorenzo to release the follow-up single to her Eurovision ‘Dancing in the Rain’. ‘Gigantes’ or ‘Giants’ is just exactly that – a huge song!

This sees Lorenzo exploring her rock/pop influences. Does it work? Oh YES!

It has an American sound to it with elements of Katy Perry meets the UK’s Coldplay. This song grabs your attention with the march like drums and the electronic synth bass chords. Sometimes songs try to marry this sound and it fails but what they lack is the powerful vocals of Ruth Lorenzo that passionately bind this song together and give it an anthemic quality.

This proves yet again to people that Ruth has the vocal range and variety in her voice to switch between ‘power ballads’ and ‘jump in the air’ floor fillers with ease and believability!

I loved ‘Dancing in the rain’ at Eurovision but ‘Gigantes’ could have been Top 3 for sure if she had presented this at the contest.
