Martin Stenmarck has gone from Las Vegas (Eurovision 2005) to his Melodifestivalen 2014’s ‘När Änglarna Går Hem’ and now he starts his own rave with his new single is ‘Glas, Betong och Cement’ or ‘Glass, Concrete and Cement’ to you and I.
From the first few beats you think you are in an 80’s Erasure electronic dance song. Then in comes some good rock and roll drums, strings and guitars and then by the end of the song you have your glow sticks out and you think you are ‘The Firestarter’.
I love the electronic synth that forms the constant beat throughout the song. The distortion of Martin’s voice in the song gives it another dimension.
This song keeps building and building to its climatic ending that makes you just want to roll over and breathe!
‘Glas, Betong och Cement’ was co-written by Martin, Adel Dahdal and Fredrik Hermansson.
I wish he had sung this at Melodifestivalen!
What do you think of the song?
