I think Eoghan Quigg is going to shade it over Can-Linn myself. He definitely has the more televoting friendly song.
Both are good songs but if CanLinn focused more on the irish musician element more and not have irish dancers ( remember last year with the drummers) i then it would do very well in CPH.
I like The Movie Song the most. It sounds very fresh and radio-friendly.
Depends alot on how they perform on the night
I’m not ruling out Eoghan winning because of his already-made-fame even though some people have probably forgotten he exists now but, he could have teenage girls in Ireland voting for him. Though if they even have one brain cell or a decent ear or two, they’ll vote for Heartbeat.
“I think this could go many ways”
Exactly !!
“If either Cann-Linn or Eoghan Quigg wins, we might as well throw in the towel for 2014. I firmly believe that Laura O’Neill is our only hope of a decent showing”
What nonsense is this !
How so?
If either Cann-Linn or Eoghan Quigg wins, we might as well throw in the towel for 2014. I firmly believe that Laura O’Neill is our only hope of a decent showing.
What is it about Laura’s song Anita that you like?
It’s the best of a very VERY weak bunch. It’s a good song in its own right, and it’s been a while since we sent a really strong ballad, so I think it may have a shot at qualifying. The other four are spectacularly bland to the point of being offensive to the ear. RTE really REALLY needs to change its selection procedure.
yip thats exactly how i have em……
I think this one could go many ways
