We continue our “Bromance” with one of our favorite Eurovision band’s of recent years – the Electronic Maestros that are Compact Disco. We are very happy to bring you the video to their stunning new song “The Storm”.
They are the band that having participated at Eurovision in 2012 – have continued to create modern music that has grabbed the attention of us here at Eurovision Ireland. So much so, we have to admit that they are one of favorite acts to come from Eurovision over the last decade.
“The Storm” continues their amazing fusion of Electronic, Pop, Rock and 80’s sound. Close your eyes and all the amazing acts like Depeche Mode, ELO and New Order come flooding to mind when you hear Compact Disco’s music. “The Storm” has a rousing chorus that opens up the song and grabs your attention in the first few seconds. Once they have you in their grasp there is no letting go of you. A thumping base line with so many subtle electronic nuances that you find on every listen to “The Storm”. This is the song that just keeps giving with every time you hear it.
It is the perfect song to listen to on your headphones, in the car, in the club or in the stadium – which is what will be happening when the band release their much-anticipated album shortly. They will be having an album release concert – date to be confirmed – in Budapest. That is one concert that we would like to be at!
The video for “The Storm” is a mixture of footage of the band performing in serious storm conditions, mixed with a great story line of the continuous circle of life from birth to death and back again to life. It all works perfectly like the reoccurrence of a storm forming from small clouds, to thunder storms to clam waters after it passes. This is not just “The Storm” – this is “The Perfect Storm”.
Compact Disco just go from strength to strength and we have to make “The Storm” our recommendation of the week! You will enjoy this!
