Russia’s band Serebro came 3rd at Eurovision in 2007 with their pop/rock number “Song #1”. They are the only girl band that have made the Top 3 since then. As you can see from above they are not shy in coming forward.
Usually girl bands are shrinking and always falling breaking up and reforming – what installment are we on of the Sugarbabes now? Well according to Russian media the band are now looking for a 4th member to join the band.
Not anyone though – you have to be Russian (darn there goes my chance) , between the ages of 23 and 27 (Ok I am really in trouble), no taller than 1.65m tall (Check), speak English (Check), sing well (Well My Mother says I do) and have good dancing skills (you want to see me on the dance floor at Euroclub – Awesome) – then you could be the fourth member of girl group Serebro. Elena, Olga and Anastasia want to make the band a foursome and are holding castings. You can apply until July 10th. You can send your brief details as to why you should be in the band, photos and if you have a recording of you singing to castingserebro@mail.ru
Since the Eurovision they band have had 2 albums, 2 awards MTV Russia , 9 Top-10 singles, 4 of them # 1 in Russia. Their new album “Mama Lover” has just been released along with the new single/video “Mi Mi Mi” which shoes that the band can poke fun at themselves too.
So who wants to challenge me for the 4th place spot in “Serebro”?

Ah, Serebro. I’d almost forgotten they were still going, but sure enough you can find them on the bill at most of the commercial radio stations’ gala evenings in Moscow. But when will we hear this lot (http://moscowmusic.wordpress.com/bands/vedan-kolod/) at Eurovision? Carefully reconstructed Siberian folk music is the future 🙂
Hey Andy – We would LOVE to hear something like Vedan Kolod at Eurovision representing Russia. That clip of them is amazing!!
