BOOKIES Paddy Power have refund €15,000 to patriotic Irish punters who backed Ireland’s Ryan Dolan in the Eurovision last weekend.

The Betting Giant said it had no hesitation in handing back stakes on win and each-way wagers by fans of the song contest for Ryan to take home the Eurovision Crown last weekend.

A Paddy Power spokesperson explained: “Ryan genuinely didn’t deserve to finish last, he was well backed from the off but punters never got a run for their money and the only fair thing to do is to refund them their money.”

So I am up some money as a result as I had backed Ryan for the win.
