Melodifestivalen 2013 began tonight and 8 acts competed in the hope of winning 2 places into the final directly and a further 2 places into the Second Chance Semi Final.

Tonight saw 8 very different acts compete in Semi Final 1.

The 2 winners who made the Final Directly were

1 – David Lindgren – “Skyline”

2 – Yohio – Heartbreak Hotel

The 2 acts that have progressed to the Second Chance Semi Final are

– Cookies N Beans – “Burning Flags”

– Eric Gadd – “Vi Kommer Aldrig Att Forlora”
