The EBU, the European Broadcasting Union and Voxovation, have denied cancellation of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest Asia, in Bangkok.
Following an article published in Aftonbladet (Swedish national media) yesterday, the organisers of the Contest have denied a risk of cancellation or delay, following reports of production difficulties. The EBU and Voxovation issued the following statement:

Martin Green CBE, the EBU’s Head of Eurovision, had the following to say:
“Asia has a very strong tradition of hosting major events and Eurovision Asia producers Voxovation are proud to be working with a large and experienced local team. We feel confident that the budget matches the level of ambition for the first Asian competition and we look forward to its continued growth.”
