RTVSLO, the Slovenian national broadcaster, have stated they did not have an extension on participation, at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas.

FOLLOWING on from the initial news that an extension on participation had been requested, RTVSLO have stated that this was not the case and will stay out of the Eurovision Song Contest for another year. A spokesperson for RTVSLO, had the following to say:

“As we have already explained, RTV Slovenia did not send its intention to participate in the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest to the EBU. Regarding the potential participation, only informative conversations are currently taking place, with the public broadcaster’s financial capabilities remaining a significant limitation. The EBU and RTV Slovenia will hold talks regarding the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest.”
