SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have revealed the hosts for Melodifestivalen 2027 – their national selection for the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas.
SVT have revealed that Björn Kjellman and Oscar Zia will host Melodifestivalen 2027. This will be the first time that Björn Kjellman presents the competition, while Oscar Zia has hosted the show twice before – in 2021 and 2022. Björn Kjellman, who took part in Melodifestivalen 2006, had the following to say:
“If you have devoted so much unnatural time to Melodifestivalen and Eurovision as I have, in the nerdiest of nerdy ways, then this is obviously the most fun assignment you can get. And to do it with such a smart and fun guy like Oscar is perfect. I absolutely adore him. To be able to host Sweden’s funniest and biggest TV show, well, it’s simply an honour.”
Oscar Zia, who also competed in Melodifestivalen 2014 and 2016, had the following to say:
“It feels wonderful to be back! I love Mello and it feels fun and safe to have Björn by my side. I’m really looking forward to hanging out with the viewers again, and leading them through Sweden’s biggest TV party.”
