🇸🇪 #SWEDEN: Direkt till finalen från Gothenburg – Part 3/8

For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Gothenburg.

2009 – Heat One

The first heat of 2009 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Alcazar gained 92,630 votes, with “Stay the Night”, while Emilia gained 79,496 votes with “You’re My World” after the round two duels.

2010 – Heat Three

The third heat of 2010 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Timoteij took first place (65,762 votes) and qualified after the first round of voting, with “Kom”, while Darin took second place (113,593 votes) after the second round of voting, with “You’re Out of My Life”.

2011 – Heat Two

The second heat of 2011 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Sanna Nielsen took first place (43,524 votes) and qualified after the first round of voting, with “I’m in Love”, while Brolle took second place (72,737 votes) after the second round of voting, with “7 Days and 7 Nights”.
