Vlado Janevski, who represented North Macedonia (then known as the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) at the Eurovision Song Contest, has passed away at the age of 65.

In 1992, Vlado Janevski participated in the final edition of Jugovizija, the Yugoslav national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, alongside the group Magic Box. They finished 11th with “Hiljadu snova”. In 1998, Vlado Janevski won Skopje Fest and the right to represent the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on their Eurovision Song Contest debut. The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia attempted to debut in 1996 but failed to qualify from the qualifying round.

In Birmingham, at the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest, Vlado Janevski represented the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia with “Ne zori, zoro”, finishing in 19th place, with 16 points. You can watch Vlado Janevski’s Contest performance of “Ne zori, zoro” below:
