🇲🇰 #JESC26: North Macedonia Launches Their National Selection

MRT, the North Macedonian national broadcaster, have launched their national selection, for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Malta.

MRT have opened applications for their national selection today and will remain open until Friday 29th May. Auditions will follow on Monday 1st June, at the MRT Studios, in Skopje. The full rules and application forms can be found HERE. For the song selection process, MRT is looking for songs that are at least 60% performed in Macedonian. The rules for the artist selection are:

  • Applicants will be assessed on naturalness of expression, stage presence and complete artistic interpretation of compositions, as well as vocal capability.
  • Singers must be aged between 9 and 14 years old as of the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
  • All singers must be citizens or have the right to live in North Macedonia.
  • At the audition, singers must perform two songs for a committee.
  • In addition, singers must perform a short stage performance as part of their audition.
