LSM, the Latvian national broadcaster, have confirmed they are considering a return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
While LSM’s Press Department CONFIRMED their non-participation at the 2025 Contest earlier this year, they are considering a return in the future. LSM had the following to say:
“We regularly come back to this issue and evaluate all the pros and cons of participation, so the possibility of participating in the future is of course not ruled out. It should be noted that, unlike adult Eurovision, a smaller number of countries always participate in Junior Eurovision. This is due not only to higher costs, but also to a more complex process of selecting a representative. The organisation of children’s talent competitions and the evaluation of participants is much more sensitive, emotionally subtle and legally complex than competitions in which adults participate. In any case, this topic is not permanently closed.”
