#ESC25: Best Eurovision Lyric Part I

#ESC25: Best Eurovision lyric Part I

As we know, a song can live or die on that killer lyric, and could even rely on a single line in that lyric. We at Eurovision Ireland have had a look through the lyrics of the songs competing in Basel, and picked out what could be that choice line that could make or break a song. Here, we look at the songs in the first semi-final (in draw order).

Iceland – I’m strapped in this craft in my waterproof boots

Poland – I’m the Goddess, the strength, my mother is love

Slovenia – Let you be awakened by the scent of memories

Estonia – Life is like spaghetti, it’s hard until you make it

Ukraine – Just care for me and my little bird

Sweden – As a tango with Arja Saijonmaa

Portugal – Mother, look out the window, I’m almost there

Norway – You got me to dim my light

Belgium – Where clocks never tick and where love is the ending

Azerbaijan – Just one look at me and I can’t stand the heat

San Marino – Mum, I’m not coming back tonight

Albania – No bottle would be in the ocean, gas would smell like lilac

Netherlands – I still hear my mama’s voice

Croatia – Don’t be scared, you’ll be buried tomorrow

Cyprus – I’ve got golden locks and eyes so captivating

Is there a better line we’ve missed? Tell us what you think.
