
Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s April 23rd:
Saturday 23rd April 1983
On this day in 1983, the 28th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Munich, West Germany. France, Greece & Italy returned, while Ireland withdrew from the Contest. Luxembourg took victory with Corinne Hermès performing “Si la vie est cadeau” and 142 points.
