🇹🇳 #ARAB: Arab Music & Singing Competition 2025 To Be Held On May 27th To 29th

The ASBU, the Arab States Broadcasting Union, have announced the 15th edition of the Arab Music and Singing Competition, in Tunis.

The 15th edition of the Arab Music and Singing Competition, in Tunis, will take place between Tuesday 27th & Thursday 29th May. A jury from across the Arab world will select the winner at the ASBU Headquarters. The winners will be announced during the Opening Ceremony of the 25th Arab Radio & Television Festival, which will be held in Hammamet, Tunisia, on Monday 23rd June.

The competition is open to all ASBU members, as well as private radio stations based in the region. The rules for the competition include:

  • The subject of the piece is ‘The National Song’, is a work that shows the values and spirits of (belonging/sacrifice/redemption) and embodies these noble values, praises the meanings of sacrifice, loyalty and redemption, and expresses love for the homeland
  • The song is composed in Arabic maqamat with an orchestral arrangement. The song does not exceed 7 minutes in length
  • The musical piece must be composed of Arabic modes and forms with orchestral arrangement and must not exceed 5 minutes in length

Cash prizes will be awarded in both of the categories. In the ‘Song’ category, the winner will be awarded $9,000, while the runner-up will receive $6,000. In the ‘Music’ category, the winner will be awarded $6,000, while the runner-up will receive $3,000.
