The BBC, the British national broadcaster, have confirmed their non-participation at the 2024 Eurovision Young Musicians, in Bodø.

The BBC have revealed that it falls at the same time as the BBC Young Musicians competition. The United Kingdom have taken part in every edition of the Contest between 1982 and 2010, along with a one-off return in 2018. The United Kingdom have won the Contest once in 1994, while they hosted the Contest in 1982 and 2018.

Sweden became the seventh country to confirm participation on Tuesday, following Belgium, Czechia, France, Germany, Norway (host country) and Slovenia.
