
With ‘Heroes’ as the theme of the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Nice, we will be celebrating the Heroes from previous editions of the Contest. Today, we look at the Heroes from Latvia.
Latvia debuted at the 2003 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Copenhagen. Dzintars Čīča participated with “Tu esi vasarā”, finishing in 9th place and 37 points – Latvia’s best position to date.
Mārtiņš Tālbergs and C-Stones Juniors represented Latvia at the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Lillehammer. Mārtiņš Tālbergs and C-Stones Juniors participated with “Balts vai melns”, finishing in 17th place and 3 points.
Kids4Rock represented Latvia at the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Hasselt. Kids4Rock participated with “Es esmu maza, jauka meitene”, finishing in 11th place and 50 points.
Šarlote and the Sea Stones represented Latvia at the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Minsk. Šarlote and the Sea Stones participated with “Viva la Dance (Dejo tā)”, finishing in 10th place and 51 points.
Amanda Bašmakova represented Latvia at the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan. Amanda Bašmakova participated with “Moondog”, finishing in 13th place and 31 points – Latvia’s most recent entry to date.
