Today, the 2022 Commonwealth Games continues to take place, in Birmingham, the United Kingdom. Each day throughout the Games, will be looking at the Commonwealth nations that have sent artists to the Eurovision Song Contest. Today we are looking at Malta.

Ira Losco was Malta’s entry in 2002, when the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Tallinn, Estonia. Ira performed “7th Wonder”, finishing in 2nd place, with 164 points.

At the Commonwealth Games, Malta have had a successful medal haul before the 2022 Games began, with:

• 🥇 – 0
• 🥈 – 1
• 🥉 – 5
