
Ranina, the Georgian national selection for the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, commenced last Saturday, April 16th. Each round takes place over two weeks, with five Acts participating each week. Round One has taken place over the last two Saturday evenings. The ten Acts performed hits by Basti-Bubu.
Each Act face three jury members, who could award up to 40 points in each round. After one round, here are the standings for each Act:
- 120 – Mariam Bigvava, Ana Kereselidze, Nikoloz Kharati, Sandro Kvachadze, Alisa Parulava
- 119 – Oto Bazerashvili, Nini Gazdeliani, Vache Gviniashvili
- 118 – Kato Chkareuli, Barbare Kokashvili
A further three themed rounds are still to take place, before the top 5 placed Acts progress to the Semi Final. The top 3 placed Acts in the Semi Final will make the Grand Final, where the winner will progress to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan, Armenia.
