RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, have joined a growing list of European broadcasters, who will be showing the 2022 American Song Contest.

While unlike other European broadcasters, RTVE will broadcast the Contest on their On Demand platform, RTVE Play. While full transmission details have yet to be announced, the premiere episode will go out live between 02:00 and 04:00 CET.

While having assessed the possibilities, TEN, the Spanish private broadcaster, have not acquired the rights partly due to a live broadcast not fitting in with the time difference. TEN have been successful; in broadcasting several Eurovision national finals this season.
