Over the course of April and May, on the lead up to the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that are participating this year in Rotterdam. Today, we celebrate Poland.
Poland debuted at the Contest in 1994, in Dublin, Ireland. Edyta Górniak finished in second place with her entry “To nie ja!”, scoring 166 points. This included five sets of twelve points from Austria, Estonia, France, Lithuania and the United Kingdom. Poland’s debut is also their most successful entry to date.
The most recent Polish entry was due to be in 2020, when the cancelled Contest was due to take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Alicja was due to represent Poland with her entry “Empires”.
This year, Poland will be represented by Rafał with his song “The Ride”. Will Rafał take Poland to their first victory?
