It has been previously revealed that if an Artist tests positive for Coronavirus before a live show, that footage from their rehearsals would be used. It has now been revealed that Sanna Nielsen is in reserve if one of the Hosts also tests positive.

Anette Brattström, Melodifestivalen 2021 Project Manager, had the following to say:

“We are so happy that Sanna agreed to our request. She is a thoroughbred professional who knows the programme inside out. We feel so safe that she can jump in and do a fantastic job if one of the regular presenters becomes ill.”
