
Over the course of November and on the lead up to the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate Albania.
Albania debuted at the Contest in 2012, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Igzidora Gjeta finished in twelfth and last place with her entry “Kam një këngë vetëm për ju”, scoring 35 points. This included two sets of twelve points – from Azerbaijan and the EBU.
The most successful entry from Albania was in 2015, when the Contest took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. Mishela Rapo finished in fifth place with her entry “Dambaje”, scoring 93 points. This included two sets of twelve points – from Italy and the EBU.
The most recent Albanian entry was in 2019, when the Contest took place in Gliwice, Poland. Isea Cili finished in seventeenth place with her entry “Mikja ime femijeri”, scoring 36 points.
