Since 2017, 50% jury and 50% online voting has been used to decide the outcome of the results of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. While this isn’t changing, the online voting will be tweaked. Between 2017 and 2019, online voters were able to vote for 3, 4 or 5 countries, however this year voters will only be allowed to choose 3 countries.
2020 will be the first time since 2012, when jury results will be announced live from all the participating countries. The European Broadcasting Union is currently in discussion whether the spokesperson from each country will announce just the 12 points or revert back to announcing the 8, 10 and 12 points, due to the low number of participating countries.
