In this new series from Eurovision Ireland, we will be taking a look at the participating countries and their entries that have avoided the dreaded ‘Nul Points’ in the Grand Final – thanks to just one other participating country. Today we look at Sweden.
1961
In 1961, Sweden was represented by Lill-Babs in Cannes. “April, april” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the French Jury awarding Sweden 2 points. Sweden finished 14th out of a field of 16.
1977
In 1977, Sweden was represented by Forbes in London. “Beatles” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the German Jury awarding Sweden 2 points. Sweden finished in 18th/last.
