Yesterday, the European Broadcasting Union sent out a direct statement surrounding next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Fans have started to read between the lines and are wondering whether we will be in Israel or not.

The European Broadcasting Union have never published a statement like this so early on after a country winning the Contest. Some unofficial Israeli tourism sites are already publishing the 21/23/25 May as the dates of the Contest, along with Jerusalem as the Host City. At one point, this information also made it’s way on to Wikipedia.
Not only is the weekend of the 25th May that of the European Union elections, but it is also that of the German Cup final too – something the European Broadcasting Union wants to avoid.
