“Sydney seems like a Gay Heaven” but the truth is a mystery to the unstoppable Conchita Wurst.
Conchita is taking Australia by storm as they have fallen in love with the Eurovision winner. They know a good act when they see one just like they adopted Abba all those years ago.

Conchita will bring her show ‘Conchita : From Vienna With Love’ where she will perform with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and singers Trevor Ashley, Paul Capsis and Courtney Act to the Sydney Opera House.
The concert is the jewel in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Pride Mardi Gras celebrations and will be the stage for the announcement of Australia’s act for Eurovision 2016.

Speaking to the Sunday Morning Herald, Conchita opened up about her preconceptions about gay like in Australia saying
“You know, we think everybody is very liberal, very open-minded, the whole city is celebrating Mardi Gras” but
“Then I came here two years ago and they told me that gay marriage is just not happening, I could not believe it. How can you combine these two worlds?”

Conchita has been vocal on a number of social and humanitarian platforms – most recently that of the Syrian Refugee crisis where Austria has capped the number of people they will now accept from the war-torn country.
“If you were in this situation, if you have to leave your own home because there’s nothing worth staying for, you would wish to meet people who would treat you respectfully”.
Conchita will perform songs from her début album along with classic songs from musical legendary Divas.

So it Conchita single?
Well the answer is “yes” according to the singer adding that she is a “very complicated person” especially when in a relationship.
“I totally change my mindset and I really turn into a very annoying person…I’m jealous, I’m moody, I’m really not good to be around as a boyfriend.”
You just haven’t met the right man yet Conchita!
‘Conchita : From Vienna With Love’ takes place on March 3rd.
