What is the capital of Ireland? Dublin of course but if you ask our third finalist for Ireland’s Junior Eurovision National Final she will say Cork!
Yes tonight Muireann Vaughan booked her place in the Grand Final with her self composed song ‘An Miongháire’. Muireann is 15 and comes from Kanturk which is in County Cork. Now Kanturk is very close to Millstreet – the host city of Eurovision 1993! Good connections there!
Muireann is both the composer and lyricist of her entry – something we ourselves would struggle to do!
Ed Sheeran is Muireann’s favourite artist and so much so she plays the guitar herself. Her song is a love story and has a positive outcome. What is that outcome? You’ll just have to hear what Muireann tells us!
You can catch up on the third show in the Irish National Selection on the TG4 Player HERE
Did you look at the show tonight? What did you think of all the acts? Could Muireann win the ticket to Bulgaria?
