Pollapönk are doing it for the kids again! Yes the colourful men from Iceland are back and today sees their new song ‘Tabula rasa’ released. Being colour blind they and their suits had me highly confused at Eurovision this year.
The song is a collaboration with the female rock group Reykjavíkurdætur or Reykjavík Daughters – everyone in Iceland is either a son or a daughter don’t you know. ‘Tabula rasa’ is the theme song for the UNICEF Red Nose Day fund-raising event in Iceland which happens to be today September 12th.
The song is another quirky pop/rap/rock song from the band. It is infectious like their Eurovision song ‘No Prejudice’ and you cannot help wanting to chant along with them during the chorus, which is somewhat problematic as they sing this song in their native language. So I will resort to humming and whistling for this one.
Love the song and love the band still and who doesn’t like men who look after the kids!
Marks out of 12 – Oh I have to go all Danish and give them my usual DOUZE Points!
