Picture this if you will. I sat down with a cup of tea and tuned into the BBC to look at ‘The Great British Bake Off’ and suddenly it turned into the Eurovision Song Contest – of baking. I took to twitter myself to say that this was the best episode of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ as it mixed my 2 favourite passions – “Eurovision and Cake”.
Last nights show had the presenters putting on Dutch, Swedish, Spanish and Danish accents as the show was based on European cakes. However the Eurovision one-liners from the hosts Mel and Sue had twitter alight and Eurovision was trending in the UK!
It seems that I was not the only person who loved the sweet and tasty mixture of Baking and Eurovision. Here are some tweets that we liked after the show. It seems that Eurovision fans are also Great British Bake Off Fans too!

Now that got us thinking that if the UK did win Eurovision that the hosts should definitely be Mel and Sue. They would know a good ‘Cheesecake’ when they saw one and are certainly the duo to call on when you have a ‘Cake to Bake’.

if the Uk wins next year, you have kind of a eurovision bake-off. like jedward, conchita, cleo from poland and molly making a swiss roll. something to fill the show inbetween the advert slots.
We like your idea Edson :-) Cake and Eurovision
