The draw for the running order of Eurovision 2014 will take place on Monday January 20th in Copenhagen.

The event will take place in Copenhagen’s City Hall. As per standard procedure the countries will be drawn into pots that will limit the potential for countries that have strong voting patterns being drawn in the same semi-final. The voting patters take into consideration the votes between countries over the last 10 years.

Some countries have already been allocated their semi-final. Due to the high demand of Swedish and Norwegian fans attending the contest, Sweden have been allocated into Semi Final 1 and Norway Semi Final 2. Israel have been drawn in Semi Final 2 as May 6th is a National Holiday in the country. We also believe that Belgium may have made a request to take part in Semi Final 2 to avoid a TV scheduling clash with the Grand Final of the Voice of Belgium taking place on May 6th.

As like in Malmo last year the draw will decide what semi final each country will perform in and in what half of the show they will sing in. The exact running order of the show will then be determined by DR (Eurovision Host Broadcaster)

Also decided on Monday will be what Semi Final the Big 5 and Denmark will vote in. Italy have requested to vote in Semi Final 1 and Germany in Semi Final 2.
