Romania – TVR have recently revealed the details of their Eurovision 2014 National Selection. Many artists have made their intentions clear like Mircea/Krtstal Mills and Paula/Ovi but now we have another former Eurovision contestant Mihai Traistariu who represented Romania in 2006 with the song “Tornero”.
Taking to Facebook he revealed that he has received 24 songs from writers across Europe and gave a wonderful critique of them saying
“I have received 24 songs from songwriters in Sweden, Russia, Switzerland, Moldova, Uk, Belgium and Romania.
– 15 of them suck badly
– About 4 are … so-so …
– About 3 are good, but … Like radio rather than the Eurovision …and
– Two are … cool and suitable for Eurovision …
It remains for me to decide next week … whether they participate or not!”
No mincing his words there!
He added to this that if he decides to submit a song to the Romanian National Selection he will do what did back in 2006 – put the potential entries on Yahoo Messenger and ask his fans to decide what song is best.
He finishes off the post by saying
“I want to be the first Romanian artist who brings home the Eurovision! Do you find it difficult? I do not …”
He said that he will make an announcement next week if he is going to join the Eurovision National Selection.
The Romanian National Selection is certainly gaining the interest of high-profile singers.
Would you like to see Mihai Traistariu submit an entry to the Romanian Eurovision Selection for 2014?

Oh my days, Yahoo Messenger still exists while MSN is defunct. Who woulda thought. He really should take to Facebook instead LMAO It’ll be a pleasure to see him return though :D Loved Tornero & he has a fantastic voice.
After the release of “Miracle” by Paula and Ovi – I think he may want to return to the contest – Which I would like too
Same! He has to bring the competition & make the NF interesting!
